108 Days of My Best Self

During this time when we are all dealing with our individual situations regarding Covid-19, the thought I keep wrestling with is how to come out of this time stronger, healthier, and more sure of myself. My first 8 weeks of shelter in place have involved stress eating, watching so many tv shows and movies that I am sick of stories, and discovering that lack of time was in no way holding me back from exercising and becoming healthier. The downhill slide was very real for me. But I find that I am blessed to be aware enough to see the direction I was headed and consciously make a change.

I have decided to challenge myself to 108 Days of My Best Self. The number 108 is significant in yoga. I have researched the reasons why and I share with you my favorite. The 1 represents me, the individual. The 0 represents the universe. Lastly, the 8 is the symbol for infinity on its side.

My 108 Days challenge is designed to question who I am and what I am doing with my life, discover who I want to be, layout action steps to changing my behavior where needed, and begin the process of becoming my best version of myself.

I officially begin my 108 Days today, Saturday, May 16. The process will take me through summer and end August 31. We don't know when sequestered life will end or what it will look like on the other side. We were informed in Pennsylvania this week that our schools will open in the fall. I plan on being a better me when that time comes. #108DaysofMyBestSelf

I kept on wondering what would emerge if these folks could all see each other's ideas)
